MASSACHUSETTS: Scientists have built a hybrid robot that follow directions of a plant’s natural signals. The plant-hybrid robot, called Elowan, is built by MIT researchers and uses the plant’s natural signals to trigger movements in the robot underneath, Cnet reported.
NEW DELHI: The country’s third largest software services firm HCL TechnologiesNSE -1.32 % has announced that it is acquiring select IBM software products for $1.8 billion. The acquisition which is the largest in the history of HCL, is expected to close by mid-2019.
As Tesla works on developing its full self-driving suite, the electric car maker seems to be developing a software that aims to use other vehicles on the road as Earth-based GPS satellites. Such a system would allow Tesla to improve its fleet’s positioning accuracy, even in areas where GPS signals are usually compromised.
